Food Safety & HACCP
Due to the recent increase in the number of food safety issues and recalls, a HACCP program is more important now than it has ever been. Our experience in writing HACCP plans gives us (and you) a big advantage. We know exactly what the inspectors and your customers are looking for. We write a very detailed full blown HACCP program. Including the setting up of SOP’s and GMP’s, organizing a HACCP team, and teaching your employees how to implement the program.
We spend 2 days in your plant, doing an inspection and collecting all of the information we need. 3 weeks later we return for a final day and present the 100-200 page plan (depending on company size) to your company, and go through it page by page with you. With the purchase of our food defense plan, you will receive our fully compliant Traceability Program, and we will register you with the FDA as well. This is the best way to take care of all of your food safety issues and concerns at the same time.
Traceability Program
As part of the Bio-Terrorism Act, ALL food production plants are REQUIRED by law to be able to trace every product “one forward and one back”. This means that every food manufacturer in the country must be able to track the lot numbers of all incoming ingredients, and all outgoing finished goods. This process does not have to be difficult or stressful for you. We can install a fully compliant, easy to use traceability program in only one day. We will also register your facility with the FDA (also required by law).
Employee Training
Having a well written HACCP plan or food safety program means nothing if the employees are not carrying out the actions defined in the plan. We are qualified to train everyone from your hourly employees to your senior management on the subject. A large part of any food defense or HACCP Plan is employee training and retraining. Employee training needs will vary from plant to plant. Contact Us for more information.
Food Safety Mock Audit
Call JSC Services before you get audited! We perform a thorough audit of your entire facility, just as A.I.B. or an FDA inspector does. After the inspection, you will receive a report of our findings, as well as suggested solutions to the problem(s). This is a complete inspection by a food safety expert, with none of the consequences and repercussions of an actual audit. You will be able to fix your problems before they become problems.
* You will also receive a free FDA food safety self inspection guide, and also a supplier certification survey after the audit.
